Caroline Jennings is a writer, historian, and artist. She is currently the grant writer  and the manager of the Affiliated Fellows Program for the American Academy in Rome while also taking on independent projects. 

She has been artist in residence, Arabic translator, and small finds researcher for the Great Arab Revolt Project in southern Jordan and has taught in Rabat, Morocco.  She is the author of Amazon in Arabic, a memoir,   the novel A Conspiracy of Goodness, and the illustrated story, Rupert Rochester and Elsie Pocket: the story of a boy, a camera, and a gardener, all published by Red Feather Press.  The second book in the series will be published in April 2014. Also forthcoming are Her Family of Men, a novel, and a book of short stories, Eulogies. 

Caroline’s  paintings are frequently used as book cover and interior illustrations. She is a Fellow in Writing of the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and a 3-time recipient of the West Virginia Governor’s Award.
